My name is Ginny Whyte and I live near York with my partner Russ, his 15 year old daughter Fiona and our two cats Tom and Fressi. 

I moved to York six years ago and started working on the market in the summer of 2002 where I sell essential oils, incense, sand animals and small gifts.  I've been a keen user of essential oils since the early '90s when they helped me through a very stressful time in my life so to be selling them now is very rewarding.

Since I started the stall my turnover has increased every year despite the general depression in retail sales as I have built up a loyal following of customers.

One of the main attractions of my stall is not just the wide choice of oils and incense etc. but the fact that I manage to keep my prices so low. I have been doing that in order to build up the numbers of repeat customers that I have, and it worked.

I decided to set up this website in response to the queries of the many customers who do not live locally and still want access to what I sell and those who come to my stall and say "I wish I'd brought a list".

So this is the website of my market stall in York where I stand every Saturday. I shall be adding pages to this site over the next few months so keep looking to see whats changed. You will find a far greater range of products here than I can display on my stall.

The prices of the essential oils are the same as on my stall with 20p extra for postage and packing.   All prices include postage and packing.

Payment is by credit/debit card through the secure server of PayPal. You do not need to be registered with PayPal to use it. You can also pay by sending a cheque and written order through the post and not using the shopping cart facility. See Terms and Conditions for details.

If you live in Europe PayPal will convert to your local currency at the going rate and there is no extra charge at the moment for postage.  If you live outside Europe please contact me to arrange payment.

I have a delivery every week so will always endeavour to ship items to you within that time.  Items marked 'out of stock' are temporary unavailable with my supplier and I will make them available once my supplier has them back in stock.

January 2009:  Happy New Year everyone.  I hope it is a good one for all of us.  2008 has been the best year ever for Serendipidy Aromatics both on the market and on the website and ebay.  As the business is still growing and its not reliant on the sort of borrowing you need to set up a proper shop it is free of a lot of the pressures that many other small businesses are suffering at the present time.  Saying that I am cutting back my market attendence to just Saturdays until the weather starts to warm up a bit....
