Illicium verum

Ocimun basilicum

Basil oil can be helpful not only for headaches and migraines, but also has an uplifting effect on depression. It is effective in digestive disorders, ranging from nausea to hiccups and for infections in the respiratory tract. It is also useful for wasp and mosquito bites.

Pimenta racemosa

Antiseptic, good for oily skin and acne. Strengthens hair.  Mood stabiliser, increases self-confidence, uplifting and relaxing.

Styrax benzoin

Benzoin's greatest benefit lies in its calming effect on the nervous and digestive systems, a warming effect on circulation problems and a toning effect on the respiratory tract. This is diluted in benzol alchohol at just under 50%. This is how it is made into a solution from a resin. It can be used for bronchitis, coughs, colds, wounds, acne,eczema, psoriasis, rheumatism, arthritis, scar tissue, circulation, nervous tension, stress, muscle pains, chilblains, rashes and mouth ulcers.

Citrus bergamia

Bergamot helps with depression and lack of confidence. It also has antiseptic qualities that are useful for skin complaints such as acne, eczema and psoriasis.

Piper nigrum

This warming oil helps circulation and bruising, specifically muscle tone, aching limbs and rheumatoid arthritis. It also helps digestion, the colon and kidneys.

Malaleuca cajaputi

Improves mood, increases resistance to infections. A good 'unwinding' oil. Can be used in a steam inihalation to help clear the nasal passages. Also good for oily skin and acne.

Daucus carota

Considered to be particularly veneficial for dry, mature skin types and can help to restore elasticity to the skin and could therefore reduce wrinkles. It is stimulating and tonin with a spacy aroma. Traditionally used as a muscle relaxant, soothing agent, skin conditioner and aphrodisiac.

Cinnamonum camphora

Camphor oil is a balancing oil. It can sedate the nerves and uplift apathy. It can help with feeling cold and reduces inflammation. It is also very effective at repelling flies and moths.

Juniperus virginiana

Cedarwood oil's greatest benefit lies in its ability to calm and soothe nerves and in relieving skin and hair problems. It is also important in easing respiratory conditions, urinary infections, rheumatism and arthritis

Matricaria recutica

German/blue Chamomile essential oil is a dark inky-blue colour due to it's high levels of chamazulene. It is renowned for its wonderful soothing properties and is especially useful for soothing the skin and enhancing resistance to problem skin. German Chamomile is also effective to use on everyday muscle aches and it can be used to promote a good nights sleep.

Eugenia caryophyllata

Traditionally rubbed on the gums to relieve toothache this oil can also be a muscle relaxant and soothing agent

Coriandrum sativum

Used for relieving muscular aches and pains, increasing circulation, for colds, flu and rheumatism, for help with sleep and nervous exhaustion. Use in moderation and avoid if you have fibrosis or breast cancer. Emotional profile: to relieve doubt, fear of failure, feelings of vulnerability, weariness and irritability.

Cuminum cyminum

Antiseptic, anti-spasmodic, antitoxic, bactericidal, carminative, digestive, diuretic, emmenagogue, nervine, stimulant and tonic.

Cupressus sempervirens

A soothing oil that eases aches, pains and coughs. it is also a good antiperspirant for sweaty feet.

Eucalyptus globulus

Best know for its ability to clear sinus problems and blocked nose. This oil is also good for aches, pains and skincare.

Foeniculum vulgare

Good for the digestive system and for toning the skin. As a diuretic it is also a good aid when wanting to lose weight

Boswellia thurifera

This is one of the oils that can really calm and soothe the whole body and mind. It eases all aches and pains and clears the lungs aswell as acting as a skin tonic. A great all round healer.
